This is actually the opposite of an apron. Instead of putting it on to protect your good clothes, you can throw it over your chillin’ attire and look good to go. Put it over your “working-from-home uniform” and run off to an in-person meeting or do your errands without worrying about running into someone you know. After endlessly tweaking my sketches, I’ve come up with something that’s practical and elegant in its simplicity, comfortable yet flattering, and appropriate for whatever the day throws your way.
Note: if you chose 2 solid color linens as your color combo, please type in the Notes field which color you prefer for the yoke and the apron.
Here’s the Tee-Topper!
This upscale version of the pinafore dress slips on over your head, like an apron. Wear it with a T-shirt, tank top, crop top, long-sleeve knit top, or sports bra. You can wear it over yoga pants, leggings, tights, or just your undies because the sides are sewn together. Fat days or skinny days, you’ll always look great because apron ties in the back make it completely adjustable in 2 sizes!
Notice the thoughtful touches:
- Curved side panels hide deep pockets and accentuate the slimming A-line style;
- Slightly fringed selvages lend a soft touch to the hemline;
- All seams are joined with French seams,
- Facings peak out from top-stitching to embellish the edges.
- Two size options to flatter every figure.
Superior Quality Fabric: The top and side panels are made with either a print grosgrain ribbed faille cotton or solid 100% linen accent color. The front and back are premium midweight linen that gets softer with each wash. Both the cotton and linen are Okeo-Tex certified to guarantee this fabric is 100% natural, biodegradable and free of harmful toxins and irritants.
Easy care: The fabric is pre-washed/shrunk before sewing and can be machine washed in cool/cold water. If you dry on the delicate setting and hang while still the slightest bit damp, you can skip the ironing.
Custom design: This is my own custom design you won’t find it anywhere else (unless someone steals my design). The fabric combination of each Tee-Topper is determined by the remnants I’ve purchased. This means there is only one or two of each variation listed. Check back for new combinations as I add them to my stash.
Versatile: As with everything I sew, the Tee-Topper is so professionally tailored that you won’t hesitate to wear it to an impromptu business meeting or a fancy lunch. I recently wore my Tee-Topper to a poetry reading and basked in the compliments! People loved it!
