You will learn to create mitered corners and to finish hems with the heirloom hemstitch that has been prized for generations on the finest linens.

Note that you will achieve the best results if your sewing machine can make a decorative stretch stitch. This will allow the special Hemstitch Wing needle, provided in the kit, to pierce the fabric twice in each spot, creating the small holes that are part of the classic heirloom stitch pattern.
