Your tote bag becomes an art gallery exhibiting a one-of-a-kind quilt, handmade by me – Jeeni! This oversized, Elsbeth-inspired tote is a stand-out performer for window shopping, strolling your local farmers’ market, or packing everything you’ll need for a weekend getaway. With corded sides and a rugged base, this bag is constructed to withstand heavy use – you can even use it to carry your dear little pet!

You get to choose the fabrics, features, and quilt pattern you love. Don’t let the upcycled status fool you, the Gallery Tote is the glamour star of my BYOB collection. and most of these fabrics originally sold for over $50/yard. The menu of upscale jacquard, damask, brocade, tweed and tapestry options is always changing, so if you see something that “speaks your name,” make it your own.

BYOB Gallery Tote Options

The gallery side of your tote is a quilt uniquely designed to your preferences. First choose the layout, then choose the quilt blocks you want in that layout. The geometric patterns are shown in black and white because Jeeni will choose the colors that work best with the tote fabric you choose. Until you click the Add to Cart button, you can scroll back to try different options until you are perfectly happy. Enjoy the design process!

A. Quilt Pattern Options

Choose only 1 geometric pattern - it will be sized and repeated for the number of blocks in the grid you chose.

Choose one bird. Due to the complexity of the bird quilt blocks, only one can be included per tote. An additional $15 is added to the price for bird blocks.

B. Fabric Options

Choose from these designer fabrics for the outside of your tote, including the 12" w x 10" h outside pocket. Then design the rest of your bag around the colors in this fabric. Occasionally, I'll have enough fabric to make more than one bag, but most of them are one-and-done.

Yes, these fabrics are all so beautiful, but you can only choose one.

C. Lining Options

Just like you, your tote should be delightful on the inside too!

E. Top Closure Options

Choose the closure that works best for the way you will use your tote.

  • The gusset zipper allows you to fill your bag to the brim and still zip up to secure your contents. The zipper extends past the end of the gusset so you can just tuck it inside when you want a full opening.
  • The flap is 10" wide and secures over the back outside pocket with a magnetic snap. Holds contents in yet easy to simply pluck it open.

F. Handle and Strap Options

Choose traditional tote handles on each side or adjustable shoulder / crossbody strap, or both! Select 1" cotton or poly webbing that coordinates with your bag, or opt for a custom strap, made to match your outside fabric. The shoulder/crossbody strap is 45" long with lobster-claw antique brass clips and D-rings sewn into loops on the sides and a brass buckle to make it adjustable.

If you choose Custom Handle, I will sew a coordinating fabric to one side of the cotton webbing for durable and attractive handles and/or strap.

G. Walker / Rollator Attachment Kit

Add this kit to your Gallery Tote so you can attach it to almost any walker or rollator. The Walker Kit includes double-sided Velcro sewn into the side seams to secure the tote to the frame of your walker, and loops with a D-Ring sewn to the top of the sides to hold the adjustable strap. Be sure to include the Adjustable Crossbody Strap in your order (see G. Handles and Strap Options above) .

Because BYOB bags are made with upcycled end-cuts or decorator deadstock, the available fabrics are constantly changing.

Your bag is handcrafted by Jeeni at the time of your order, so please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery.

Please take your time when placing your order; there are no returns on BYOB bags.

The Gallery Tote has snaps to attach BYOB Add-on Inserts, such as the Wallet Insert, Key Fob, and Water-bottle Holder.

    This Gallery Tote is quite the conversation starter! It is so gorgeous and unique that it is hard to get any shopping done. I used it attached to my rollator while recovering from surgery, and it held everything I needed to buy.
    I loved that I could choose my quilt design and the colors and quilting were beautiful. It is well-designed, well-made and so functional. Just be ready to stop and chat about it when you venture out!
